Challenge Your Mind Chart Your Own Course

Bachelors

As a Bachelor graduate, you have a wide range of promising career options in front of you. The choice you make will impact on your entire  life.

Have you considered a career with BCG? It may be one of your best options for getting on the fast track to a successful career and accelerated personal growth. At BCG, we believe you should be in the driver’s seat, charting your own course to realize your personal goals. And we are here to help you do that in any way we can.

At BCG, you’ll work alongside and learn from some of the finest minds in business from day one. You’ll be fully involved in client work, making an immediate impact. As Michelle Peluso, BCG alumna and former president and CEO of Travelocity Global, says, “You always have a license to think outside of the box and a license to come up with creative ideas. You have the license to have an agenda and really push it forward. That’s an exceptional thing for someone right out of college.”

A Jump Start to Your Career

For your return to school for an MBA or master's, two years of practical, hands-on work experience with BCG will provide a solid foundation that will allow you to get much more out of the course work. Statistics show that the likelihood of your being accepted into a top school, such as Harvard or INSEAD, increases exponentially with BCG on your resumé. In recent years, 90 percent of our associates who applied to a top-tier business school were accepted. We believe that investing in our people promotes growth—both yours and BCG’s.

What Bachelor Graduates Bring to BCG

Bachelor graduates bring important qualities to BCG, including ambition, a solid theoretical base, a strong desire to make a difference, and the ability to think critically—an attribute that has little to do with age or experience. Indeed, in the words of BCG’s founder, Bruce Henderson, “Getting older may mean becoming smarter in the ways of the world, but it adds nothing to analytical ability, conceptual ability, intelligence, imagination, or energy.”

Graduates with a Bachelor's degree bring another key dimension: a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds, which can prove invaluable. Accordingly, we don’t confine our recruiting efforts to undergraduates who have focused their education on traditional areas such as economics, management, and business. We also seek graduates with degrees in law, languages, social and natural sciences, and other disciplines.

What to Expect

As a graduate with a bachelor’s degree, you’ll be joining BCG as an Associate. From the start, you’ll be working as a valued member of case teams, helping world-class companies address some of their most pressing strategic challenges and initiatives. You’ll gain exposure to a broad spectrum of industries and business concepts and practices, and your practical learning will help you make a quantum leap forward as you move from the classroom to the real world of business.

Starting with a Bachelor’s degree

Bachelor Associate program

After completing your degree, you have the opportunity to spend two years in our Bachelor Associate program. From the beginning, you will serve as a full member on a project team and interact with clients at the senior management level. Depending on your performance, we will support you as you pursue an MBA or a Master’s degree at a top-ranking school (i.e. Harvard, INSEAD). You will rejoin BCG on Consultant level.

You will receive comprehensive introductory training when you start at BCG. Depending on your background, you will also have the opportunity to attend a business training course.

Visiting Associate program (internship)

As an alternative, you could opt to spend three months in BCG's Visiting Associate program.
You will work with experienced colleagues on client projects and experience what it is like to be a consultant at the world's leading advisor on business strategy.

Learning about consultant life will help you to better assess whether pursuing a career at BCG is the right choice for you. Depending on your performance you will receive an offer to join BCG on a fulltime basis.
