  • The Financial Times referenced the BCG report Facing New Realities in Global Banking: Risk Report 2011 and spoke to BCG's Ranu Dayal in an article on the challenges banks will face once the new Basel III reform rules start taking effect in 2013. "Banks want to stay ahead of regulatory timetables as a demonstration to investors that they are financially strong," Ranu said.
  • Managers Not Spending Enough Time with Teams

  • In the Business Times Singapore, BCG's Yves Morieux commented on the lacking interaction between teams and managers. "One of the biggest problems in management today is that managers have abandoned work," Yves said. He also stated the solution to the problem is to create a culture in which employees are empowered "to develop creative solutions to complex challenges."
  • Banks' Promise to Women: This Time Is Different
  • December 15, 2011
  • BCG's Kate Sayre, coauthor of the book Women Want More, told Businessweek.com that many financial firms' previous efforts to gain the business of women failed. In the article Kate noted that "the industry has done such a poor job. A lot of women felt that the banker addressed everything to the man and felt they were just an appendage."
