Europe's Banks Face Large Basel III Gap

and spoke to BCG's Ranu Dayal in an article on the challenges banks will face once the new Basel III reform rules start taking effect in 2013. "Banks want to stay ahead of regulatory timetables as a demonstration to investors that they are financially strong," Ranu said.
Managers Not Spending Enough Time with Teams

, BCG's Yves Morieux commented on the lacking interaction between teams and managers. "One of the biggest problems in management today is that managers have abandoned work," Yves said. He also stated the solution to the problem is to create a culture in which employees are empowered "to develop creative solutions to complex challenges."
